As I sit and think and get up and take a break and sit back down type and conveniently remember something else in my house that needs to be done and finally return to my laptop only to delete what I’ve written, I’m compelled to give pause from working on my next blog entry in order to acknowledge the cause of my distraction. I am in awe, still weeks after posting, of the response to my last entry. Not only did you read what I had to say and comment on what I wrote, but many of you actually shared my mental meanderings with others. Since the post I’M COMING OUT entered in to cyberspace, the hits to my blog have far surpassed what I ever thought was probable. I am amazed, proud and grateful to report that in addition to the United States, seevjbrun.com has been read in 35 other countries! (For those of you who want to keep your readership on the DL, don’t freak out. From my stats page, I can’t tell who is reading-unless you comment-just where you are reading.)
At risk of sounding like someone who’s a legend in her own mind accepting an award, I’d especially like to thank the CrossFit community for embracing and encouraging a novice who’s story (for some mystifying reason) spoke to you. The process of sharing ideas and experiences via blogging can be intimidating for me, being that it’s super- personal allowing others a glimpse in to my most private thoughts and inner discourses. But it is also incredibly rewarding and validating when my words resonate with other people . I’ll try my best to keep writing stuff that you want to read and share, with only a minimal amount of garbage mixed in for comic relief, of course.
If you’d like to comment on any of my posts (I’d love feedback) please click on the entry title and you will be taken away from the home page, but will still be able to read the text. There will then be a comment section following the post content. Thanks!
