True to my word(s) I laced up less than 24 hours pre 20-miler, a day I’d typically rest. I downsized my make-up mileage from 5 to 3 miles in anticipation for tomorrow, rationalizing that a run of this distance wouldn’t compromise my legs and could only pump up my mind. It worked! I headed out sans music but with my Garmin (I’m not that laid back) and banged out those miles, not pushing too hard, without much effort- ready as I’ll ever be for my last run of significant distance before tapering begins.
