WEEK 6 DAY 4

All of this training may be making me ravenous but I don’t like eating my words.  Last night, I had a GNO with 4 pals at a local restaurant.  We had a grand old time making sensible food choices, drinking in moderation, catching up on each other’s lives, and laughing very loudly.  One of my girls also works out at UEF but has been on a bit of a hiatus lately. I did what any thoughtful friend would do- I unceasingly gave her the business.  I can be very annoying convincing because she finally agreed to meet me the next morning at 6:15am for Bootcamp.  

Guess who didn’t show?  I switched off my alarm at 5:30am when it sounded with every intention of getting out of bed.  I just put my head down for a second, OK an hour.  The next time I sat up it was because I was startled awake by CMB’s alarm.  It was looking like humble pie and coffee for breakfast- yummy.

While my pal was very good-natured about my lameness (she did show up for class), I reprimanded myself a bunch before heading out for a 3 mile run.  It was straightforward and painless, except when I kicked myself for missing class.  I had been looking forward not only to a break from running, but also a breather from my own head which only group exercise can offer.
